Mission

The Mission of Harbor House / KCCADV is to provide family violence services to Kankakee and Iroquois Counties in Illinois. Its activities include, but are not limited to:
Providing a forum for the exchange of information and skills between groups and individuals committed to family violence prevention; Developing projects for systemic reform; Providing advocacy for comprehensive family violence legislation; Providing community educational and professional training; Developing necessary auxiliary sources for programs; Discovering and developing funding sources for programs; and Engaging in activities which contribute to the elimination of family violence.
Harbor House / Kankakee County Coalition Against Domestic Violence (KCCADV) is a not-for-profit organization that has been providing comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence for over 25 years. Although Harbor House’s primary clients are women and children in Kankakee and Iroquois Counties in Illinois, it also provides shelter to women seeking refuge from domestic violence from other parts of the state, country, and world.
