Part-time (~24 hours/week); Kankakee
Work directly with survivors seeking emergency shelter for safety from domestic violence and answer hotline calls, supporting survivors every step in their journeys.
Full-time; Kankakee primarily, Watseka occasionally
The counselor provides counseling and crisis intervention services to survivors of domestic violence in individual and group settings. The ideal candidate has professional experience with trauma, ACEs, cultural humility, healthy coping strategies, and creative clinical approaches to adapt to the needs of individual clients. Bilingual and/or bi-cultural candidates are encouraged to apply.
Full-time; Watseka primarily, Kankakee occasionally
Educates Kankakee and Iroquois Counties’ communities regarding domestic violence and teen dating violence and how to prevent domestic violence by understanding healthy relationships, especially among junior high, high school and college students.
Supports survivors of domestic violence through hotline calls, observing sessions, client contact, assisting at outreach events and more. Must commit a minimum of 450 hours to the program.
Work closely with the Executive Director and Business Manager handling a variety of daily business tasks and various projects depending on current needs and intern’s program requirements. Must complete a minimum of 50 hours.
