Teen dating violence is a complex and often underrecognized issue that significantly impacts adolescent safety, development, and long-term well-being. Love Shouldn’t Hurt is a three-hour, interactive professional training designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of teen dating violence and enhance their capacity to respond effectively when concerns or disclosures arise.

This seminar examines the dynamics of teen dating violence, including physical, emotional, sexual, and digital abuse, with a focus on how power and control manifest uniquely within adolescent relationships. Participants will explore how developmental stage, peer influence, social norms, cultural context, and technology shape teen relationships and affect help-seeking behaviors.
